Evolving from a journey through parts of Indonesia the film assembles a number of day-to-day activities in which the filmmaker was personally involved. A young generation encounters the rites of an older generation. As ritual dances are staged for the camera the activities disconnect from everyday life and the guidelines of interpretation blur. The thirteen episodes oscillate between wary documentation and keen imagination.
